WebJun 16, 2012 · The Chisos Mountains lodge is a fairly basic wilderness lodge with working AC, a fridge and a microwave depending on what room you get. I know they have rooms with fans and no AC, but I wouldn't recommend those, at least during the spring/summer/fall. WebJul 1, 2013 · Reviewed 1 July 2013. The rooms we stayed in were the older part of the hotel/motel units. Concrete block construction, but nicely appointed with clean bathrooms and beds. Biggest positive is location that is in center of the Basin and close to main Chisos Mountians trailhead. Restaurant is right next door and the small store is nearby as well.
